Laat ons samen luisteren naar het lied 'if I could turn back the hands of time' terwijl we terugdenken aan alle verloren momenten uit het verleden, aan alles wat voorbij is en waar we niet altijd de beste herinneringen aan overhouden..

Kelly made his initial court appearance Thursday night. At a brief hearing in Chicago on the New York indictment Friday afternoon, Kelly stood before the judge in an orange jumpsuit, with his hands clasped behind his back. The only words he spoke during the 15-minute hearing were "yes, ma'am."

Investigators in New York issued a scathing series of statements condemning Kelly for preying "upon young women and teenagers whose dreams of meeting a superstar soon turned into a nightmare of rape, child pornography and forced labor," as one of the lead officials, Homeland Security Investigations New York Special Agent in Charge Angel Melendez said in a statement. "R. Kelly believed he could fly, but it will be justice to see his oppressive wings clipped."NYPD Commissioner James O'Neill echoed those sentiments, saying, "Those who engage in these reprehensible offenses against our most vulnerable will be pursued relentlessly, and held accountable for the pain and suffering they cause."

He shook his head and smiled at me then held his palms out. I scooted forward and when I placed my hands on top of his, a tiny spark of static electricity sparked between us and we both pulled our hands back. When I remembered to breathe again, I shook my head and laughed a little.

THE GO-BETWEENS: Bright Yellow Bright Orange (Jetset)They say they're a band again, and I believe them--bye Forster, byeMcLennan, welcome back Forster-McLennan. What I don't believe is thatthey're as integral or rocking a band as they once were, or that thestrummy arrangements turn back on themselves like they should. Butafter longer than any neutral party will wait, the songs flower if notbloom into tints subtler than the noontime hues of the title. I don'tmean the opener, which snaps into place with a classic identiriff, orthe one where Robert wants to go to Brazil. Those are quick. I meanevery single song. Too slow, too slight, still remarkable.B PLUS

LOU REED: The Raven (Sire/Reprise) Only a Lou-loucould love this concept album with a hole in the middle, by which Imean the theater piece that supposedly held all the new songs, oldsongs, new instrumentals, poetry readings, and cameo turnstogether. But though it's less than the sum of its parts, the partsare pretty arresting--Antony's castrato version of "Perfect Day," forinstance, is a terrible idea in theory that ends up beating theoriginal. Gee, maybe Poe actually was the progenitor of Selby andBurroughs and, more importantly, Reed himself, who delivers thetheme-setting "Edgar Allan Poe" with a rhythmic intensity that is,let's be frank, a rare thing in literary criticism. Best Performancein a Supporting Role: Steve Buscemi as a somewhat younger Lou Reeddoing a lounge act the older Reed wrote. B PLUS 041b061a72
